I am really excited about this. Would be awesome if aoe1 could also get a small update like this

A remake of AoE... sadly it sounds highly unlikely. As I have said before M$ has AoE/RoR in a lost chest, gathering dust.

Before anyone says that's not true, tell me: why were there more patches for AoK?, why wasn't there a re make of AoE for portable consoles? why the icons of AoK were used game after game while AoE's were not?

Also the community that still plays AoK in the western countries is massive (i'd even say bigger than AoM and AoEIII put together). The ones who still play AoE are few and distant. And just like WW2 is more of a popular subject than WW1, European Middle ages 'feeling' is more popular than the ancient ages one.

Don't get me wrong, these are good news, and I am not complaining, just stating something. M$ cares about money, investing in the original AoE wouldn't be as profitable :P

I see Age of Empires more a title would pick up than Steam. Seems more logical to me.

Well, the update was made by Hidden Path, which basically is Valve

And the very same moderators close other AOK/AOE3 threads.

Why would you take the time to read this signature? Chances are that there are many other posts below mine.
