Those leaders will be executed and new ones will replace them. These new leaders should care for their people, so I don't have to worry about them too often. And trusty too.

Since we've rested, the army will move on to search for the coward. Where has he headed?

Interesting...

I'll hold my two-handed axe at chest level, ready to cleave any nightmares that comes. All the time I will strain my ears to hear for sound, and with each step I take, I'll examine my surroundings, in case there are valuable discoveries, or traps.

I'll enter the cave...

What I'll do after depends on these variations:

If there is a trap, and I saw it:
See if I can disarm it, if not, see if I can go over it without triggering it, if not, I'll leave, and continue my miner/lumberjack work.

If there is a trap, and I didn't see it:
Oh dear... you give me the situation

If I start to hear cries for help
Attempt go seek out the person, and try and help him. If there is no way I can help him/her out, I'll end this/her suffering (kill) and take all the possessions, excluding clothes. If it happens to be some... monster... I'll attempt to retreat and fight it as I go. If I do manage to kill it, I'll take all of his possessions, excluding clothes if it is not valuable.

If there are any metals/treasures
Dig with, as I always say, Fanaticism. If I notice the place will start to collapse, I'll run the hell out of there with any of that valuable I can carry. If the store of mine is absolutely huge, then I'll carry as much as I can and... give to whoever I'm supposed to give to, and continue mining. However much metals/ores there are in the mine, I'll take a quarter of all the ores/metal for myself.

When I leave the place/everything is exhausted, I'll continue my mining/lumberjack work.

By the way, Centy, did you sell the timber I previously chopped?

You find out this is an abandoned Palmyran mine which was destroyed by the Persians in their war. There is still a huge supply of gold ore but no pure gold as such. Everyone inside is already decaying. You want to report this find?

Oh and your timber sales are included in your pay.

Duan
To save you time some kill themselves but the rest are executed. One ran away to the north and this is where you think the general went.

(At Level 6, I am not telling everything you need to know anymore, you need to find out yourself)

Would the authorities and other miners start mining here if I report this find, so I can't claim some of it myself? If answer is no, I'll report - if answer is yes, I'll mine until the store of gold ore is 'slightly more than adequate', then report (the ore that I mined then will be stored secretly be me)

Strip all the peoples' possessions, with the exception of invaluable clothings. Check to see if any could still be alive. For those that are alive, and that I've taken their possessions, I'll return back to them.

By the way, I know the Iron Cast Spear is only avaliable in Asia, and it's a throwing weapon - but can the spear be used like a melee weapon? Or would it be too fragile/powerless to use like those Greek Hoplites' ones?

Your new manager gives a you a pay rise and promises to house you and treat you well when you reach Phoenicia and you are to finish where he tells you (where he can make most money through bets) but firstly you need to cross the Mediterranean and you have no boat...

Duan
You march north to a small town just on the old Han border. Although the alliances of the town are split you camp there. Spies report that up north is a where the Yamato are building a huge wall to liken to the Great Wall to try and stop you advance. You also hear 4 armies are waiting for you...

Iron Hoplite
You report the find back after digging 1000 and there is a mad rush to the find. Unfortunately the authorities notice some gold ore was newly taken and have taken you in for questioning...

I'll tell them this:

"Before I entered the tunnel, I heard some noise - not the rustling of trees or the whispering of winds, but something similar to footsteps. I didn't see anyone, though, so I went into the tunnel. Also, I tripped over a good few times - how I survived the batterings of my head on the wall, I didn't know. This was also one of the reasons why the mine looked like it is newly taken."

When the authorities aren't looking, I'll make a few light scars on my head, silently.

Also, if I manage to get out of this mess, I'll like to work as a Miner/Lumberjack/Carpenter.

As usual, I will strengthen the town. Then, I'll pacify the people and let them continue with their daily life. No evacuation of any sort.

Then, I'll call for reinforcements to garrison the town. Supply and communication lines will also be strengthened.

I'll also check out the length of their "Great Wall". Long or relatively short?

Duan
The wall seems to cover most of Manchuria, but it is unfinished to the west. Unfortunately this town has a very small minority of anti-Han feeling and rebel against you strengthing it. They rise to arms and burn your barracks...

(You lost all your weapons after capture and only got some OK quality ones. Want to reequip?)

You find a breakthrough. two guys dealing in illegal swords: some heavy duty long swords. You take them in. What questions do you ask?

I'll order for them to be arrested.

Ok, so I'll gather my army and move west (not toward the Wall though, just moving parallel to it). Then, I'll meet with the troops stationing in the Western parts of the Empire and attack the gap in the wall.

I'll sell my iron sword and get a Cast Iron one. Also, I'll get a Steel shield. I'll also get myself 10 poison spears.

Ask them what they know about the underground resistance, whether they know anyone in the resistance, the resistances meeting places, etc.

Unfortunately becoming a trader doesn't allow much carpenting jobs. Anyway those spears can be used as melees.

Your first job is to collect the annual 5000 worth of gold from Palmyra for the Roman spices. You will get a pay rise if you pass this first trip. And you have a companion to help you...

Off to Palmyra then...

Duan
1250 thank you...

Well you finally reach that little city in Xiongu territory in Manchuria that you built and to your horror the army has gone replaced by a Yamato fort...

Those mean were arrested and sent for execution next week.

Darknight
Yup you conviscated the swords but to your embarrasement none of the two seem to know anything about the resistance/ They say there is no resistance and ask you why you think there is one. Your cover may be blown.

They're excuse is one is a blacksmith who makes these swords, even though the Romans think it is illegal, no one in Trieste cares...

SnakeEyes
600 for stuff.

Anyway it depends which ship you can find. Ranges from 250 to 5000. The better ships are naturally more expensive.

Oh - and I wish to try and know my companion more - open up more conversations, but do it so that my purpose behind it is rather discrete... If when we ambush the bandits she is being threatened, I'll throw myself in, and fight with pure fanaticism. (Hope she won't be too scared)

Ah... thank goodness...

I'll be a miner and smith, if that's possible. Hopefully, if this option is avaliable, I'll mine some iron ore and use part of them to forge some armour and weapons for my use...

If I can, I'd like to practice some swordplay in my spare times...

And where in Babylon am I in?

Heck... who can beat a Mithril Colossus Hoplite like I am one now...?
Besides, Zeus agreed to help me, and Athena to love me...

I'll send one of my men over to see if they can get close enough to hear what is being discussed and tell him that he is not to endanger himself and get away if anyone makes any serious hostile movements

Hi Centy. I'd like to join. I'm taking some time off from designing, and figured I'd have some fun with this. Maybe I'll even get an idea for a scenario or campaign out of it. I know I can't win, but figured I could do something at least interesting.

Here's my starting gig:

I want to be a Celt somewhere in northern Gaul. The Celts were known for their awesome ships, so I'd like to start as a carpenter, and make the most of it. Carpenters are also strong, and can collect on their debts, so here's what I'll buy with my initial 1250.

Gladius-350, bronze-scale armor-500, bronze helmet-150. If I'm a good carpenter, I should be strong enough to two-hand any enemies and need no shield. Guess we'll see how it goes.

I'll also get a transport ship for 250. My goal in the game is to eventually reach Britannia and build a navy to attack the Romans at sea. I'll have 50 left over to spend later I guess. I had a question on money, too. Can we borrow money from other players, like interest? And, can we buy things from other players, or sell our old stuff when we buy new stuff?

As far as my game strategy, here are my first moves:

I'm a carpenter, and have a transport ship, so I need to find a place to shack up in a port city, likely in northern Gual, but maybe even along the rivers of central Europe, if the situation finds me there. I'll work for pay as a carpenter, but try to find building ships. Since I already own a transport, I'll have the opportunity to tear it down and inspect it with my carpentry skills. My first goal is to find a local rich guy who'll finance me building a fast raiding ship, since I don't have the cash. Unless of course, any players can help me out with this, I'd welcome it.

Although I'm a carpenter, I have a Gladius, so I'll take a part-time job as a warlord or whatever. If it doesn't go well, I can get in my transport and leave!

Simply outrageous. Where are their strongholds? I'll use catapults to launch explosive pots at them.

Would not the Romans know that too, having too already put up with countless guerilla attacks?
Would it not lull the Romans in the area into a sense of power as they see the enemy(us) retreating, whilst destroying the very cover we have been using to attack from, and maybe even clearing the vegetation such that they can bring their war weapons through...?

I would suggest fortifying our base in the meantime, shall I go out to gather wood or duck my head for the Romans that are sure to pass?

ok i'll agree with some of that for now, but i'll take 50 of my best soldiers and some horses, they must have the same number of soldiers but we'll meet just inside the city walls, no further!

The only stupid question is the one you don't ask!
