So, if an AoE I civ was able to play an AoE II civ in a random map or deathmatch, who do you think would win, given same player skill? - Also, consider if we allow the AoE I "buildings only take 1/5 damage" or whatever it uses for buildings...
I'm thinking AoE I moving units would kill AoK moving units more easily, but buildings would be a nightmare for AoE I units to kill, full damage or not.
ALso, it seems that AoE I units are slightly cheaper, but the resourcces on a map are less.

I don't think so, their fire rate is slow and their range would make them vulnerable to AoE's super siege.

I have this saying 'If Age of Kings' units can deal with them, Age of Empires' units will do it better'

Speaking of centurions, A perfect example of "nerfing" (weakening) units is the Elite Teutonic Knight, the centurions AOK counterpart.
HP: 100
ATK: 17
DEF:6?
Pierce DEF:2
Centurion
HP:160
ATK:30
DEF:8
Pierce DEF:0
Centurion wins in 5 shots with 115 HP left. they have a similar unit cost, and upgrading Teutonic knights is also a bit costly.

Still, totally upgraded centurions are rather cheap units (60 food, 40 gold i think), what is expensive is the upgrade.
Unlike AoM's foot soldiers, who take 2 population slots, Centurions only take one.
Any civilization with centurions and full storage pit techs (Hittite, Roman, Macedonian, Minoan) gets them with these stats
HP:160
ATK:37
ARM:14
Pierce ARM:3 (5 in the case of Macedonians?).
(Yamato Centurions are pretty much the same except that their piercing armor is just 2. Greek ones have less attack, but they are fast and that helps them close gaps faster. Carthaginian ones don't have access to the full storage pit tech tree, however their HP bonus makes them as good as the centurions from the 4 civilizations listed above: tested post-iron carthaginian vs post-iron roman centurions and the win/loss ratio was similar if not the same)
Colossi are expensive, population costly and, as every myth unit, dependent on Favor and the most favor one could have is 200 for Zeus if I remember well. So they are pretty limited in numbers, and available only in Mythic age. Centurion tech is only available in Iron, however one could start training hoplites since Bronze.

You mean rushing?...I've never measured times between games...I suppose the resource collection speed is similar.

I'm sure we've done mass Helepolii vs Zenobia's tower (1000HP), where Helepolis does 8 damage per hit. It really doesn't take that long to destroy Zenobia's tower, and look, 80% pierce armour vs Helepolis => Colossus takes 8 damage...
Or take HHA vs two Carth eles, where the alchemy'd HHA does 8 damage to armoured ele. The ele won't get too close before they go down vs massed HHA...
Now imagine these two situations while being attacked by the equivalent of one stone thrower? that fires as fast as an archer, but only has the range of a Tool Age slinger...

Well Hersirs are not especially strong against human soldiers, they are costly and even tho Loki's call myth units, myth units appear randomly and cost lots population slots.

Oranos Contarius Hero would take out pretty much everything. Once fully upgraded and turned into heroes, these cavalry could rival the aoe 1 catapract in a fight. I dont remember the exact stats, but the hp is well above 200 hp, 18-19 attack, decent armor. But thats not the real deal about them, they are lightning fast, so fast that i doubt that any aoe/aok units can catch up to them, they are also extremely good at crushing buildnings. Downside is that they take 3 population cost, but i reckon anything that aoe/aok could trow at them would be in big trouble. Centurion would beat them 1v1 i would presume, but just back them up with arcus, the 20 range archers, that would make short work of them.

Depends how "decent" their peirce armour is...I'm sure the AoE 1 HHA could catch them enough in the time it takes them to kill buildings, and you still can't dodge arrows too easily even if your "speed" was 3.0 (Heavy Horse Archer is 2.5) They would be cool for raiding stuff though.
Although, you could only get about 60 of them if they take 3 pop each, they may be overwhelmed in numbers...
