I win the 1st scenario of the campaign but after I finish it, the game takes me back to the starting screen?!! Help please?
Edit: In fact same thing happens with the next campaign as well. Even if I win the first scenario, it returns me to the main screen.
But this doesn't happen with the last campaign. Weird...Any ideas?

Gumble has had a similar situation with his Command and Conquers - Generals game. You win the first scnerario and it wont let you progress further asking you if you would 'try again?' as if you had failed. (which as we all know, is nearly impossible for a Gumble.) After some investigation Gumble found out from the tech support site that this relapse was due to currupted save files in the temporary files folder. If this situation is anyway similar then Gumble suggests reinstalling the game. DO IT THE PROPER WAY BY RUNNING THE UNINSTALL EXE. FILE! Gumble's Generals game is so screwed up because Gumble simply deleted the folder. The registry is broken, the installer is broken, and even his temporary files folder is broken.
If you have any mods for AoE then they might also be affecting the Glory of Greece campaign. Try getting rid of them and see where that gets you.
And a healthy virus scan might help too.
Too many people say far too much about Gumble. They also claim Gumble says far too much which isnt true.

Well I reinstalled the game. But does this mean I will have to never ever save another game again?!?!?

Back up all your saved games and reinstall the game. If it does it again, restart the game and do the "home run" cheat to advance to the next scenario. I had trouble like that with "The Two Brothers" once, but I was able to fix it.

You can also make a new player name and play with that - and you can use "home run" to skip the first scenario.

Sometimes too many campaigns can cause that problem-had it with my AOK campaigns.

No! Don't! I've had that problem before. Gumble thought that reinstalling it would solve it. It instead gets rid of your progress. Cheats won't help either, amigo.
Here's what I suggest. What I've done is create new players like "Anon_Guy2" and "Anon_Guy3" and that made it much easier for me, so I could switch from one player name to another for each campaign. Tried that yet?

Cheats should at least be tried first. If they don't work then just create a different user.
