anyone know where i can download the original soundtrack thats on the AoE CD? not RoR and not AoE Gold which is what i have. the OST i heard from a friend's AoE CD was the best comparing to all age game series of all time.
i tried copying the OST off the AoE CD but they were no where to be found as files. i only found the old without cd music that i can hear anywhere from the trial. perhaps the OST is embedded into the CD??
anyways i bought AoE Gold then, and the OST on it was disappointing since it is missing some of the best ones of the AoE OST such as the very first one..i think IIRC its name is conquest?? so anyone can tell me where to download the AoE CD OST i would appreciate it.

The music on the CD is available as audio tracks like on any ordinary CD. You can open media player and play those tracks (the first track can't be played - that's the software part), and you can copy the files to your harddisk in the media player.

The music on the CD is bound to be copyrighted, so yes, be careful.

i think that goes by your pessimism. 'You don't own the contents of the CD, only the rights to use them.'
i paid my bucks and bought the damn thing. and by reading the eula it says that i have the rights of the CD and whatever is on them. it only says basically i cant be unlawfully distributing it such as not transfer the rights to who i physically distribute to. and of course i cant be just passing it around to everybody encouraging piracy or whatever. however, i do have the right to archive it since i did in fact bought it.
