Yesterday i started a game in hardest difficulty. The rest of the options were like this: default resources, stone age and nomad mode. When the game started i built my town center as soon as possible next to some berry bushes. I had eleven villagers gathering the berries and one gathering wood. By the time i got 500 food the AI had already advanced in tool Age(in 6:30 minutes)! I hadn't even built the two stone age buildings! It is also known that in nomad mode the AI tends to waste at least one minute, wandering here and there, before it builds its town center. My question is do the AI starts with extra resources in hardest mode(or because of the default resources)? If so which option do i have to choose in order to start with the same amount of resources? Or is it the fact that I am just too slow? My nation was the greek if this has an effect also.
