JK_daddy:
That was a really fun game! I was chuckling when I isolated all of my villagers from your huge slinger army by crossing into your land and keeping all of my army and navy close to crossing for defense.
Just a few pointers:
1) Disengage your navy from a battle when you are outnumbered. When you mass a larger navy, engage again. Get a repairer or two to fix those also. I had a couple repairers there in the river that helped me win early navy battles.
2) Run your fishing boats when they are attacked. I had two scout ships kill all of your fishing boats, then a few of your shore fishers. You could have ran those fishing boats and made it very hard for me to kill them.
3) Get your wood upgrade at market faster. This will help your navy warfare.
4) Grow your economy during the fighting and you win. I kept checking achievements to make sure you weren't booming. If you would have you could have won.
5) Don't mine gold until you are Bronzing. You could have had those villagers chopping wood for scout ships and fishing boats.
6) Have your military destroy my docks and disrupt my fishing boats on my land. My fishing operation was a key to my victory and it was never interupted. Your slingers could have destroyed at least three docks on my land.
I tell you these things because you really played a great game. I didn't really have the advantage ever until 3-4 minutes before I won.
You outplayed me in the Stone Age, because you killed my two forward builders, and was able to forward build on me. You Tooled with a stronger economy than me and at a respectable time.
You massed a superior army to mine in early Tool, and your defenses didn't allow me to get to your economy.
All was fine until I was able to boom on the sea, while keeping my villagers safe and the rest is history.
Can you survive the Blitzkrieg?
