Well, i've got AoM since last thursday, but i haven't played it much yet. It surely looks good, it will be better then AoK. If it's better then AoE, can't tell yet, must play AoM more. I've also tried out the Editor....
Pretty F*cked up again.
It has the same system as AoK, with triggers and now also a camera mode for creating in-game-cinematics. Many terrain options, such as lava and various trees. It really has much units and objects, far more then AoE or AoK. But it's a good game i think. It has a 3d engine, and the amount of space AoM takes is really big. (It's about 1.2 GB, AoKTC takes about 300MB, and AoERoR takes about 120 MB). So that's a really big difference compared to the previous games. AoM has a 30-scenario campaign, about Atlantis, in which you control Arkantos, a hero with a spear. 9 Gods to choose, 3 from the Greeks, 3 from the Norse and 3 from the Egyptian. I don't think i will play it as much as AoE, but hey, as a fan of all the AoE games, let's give it a try.
Someday ants will rule the world.
