Is that the yellow town in the north west corner of the map because if it is D,ont Attack it again it just wastes elephants and you can easily ingore it. Note: This Scenario involves alot of runnning away and alot of trying since the path is complex and there is sereval towns few you need to destroy.

I just scouted the whole area with the scout. And if there is any danger, i just walked around it...

word of advice....send the elephant archers ahead to clear the way. Then send the other elephants ahead except for the 3 you need to get through the flag. keep advancing using the archers to destroy the opposition slowly.the anfter they move farther, move the other elephants farther. Try keeping the three armored ones behind the rest with the swordsman to protect them. this worked for me but it did take alot of tries. Another word of advice...go around the back of the mountain thing...the only thing in your way to the villagers is the wall and your elephants can easily knock it down. But before you knock it down, use the archers to kill everything on the other side....then you keep down unnecessary casualties.one last word of advice, use the waypoint thing to move easier because if you dont, the dumb elephants move really slow and keep getting in some kind of traffic jam or something....they keep walking into each other or too many of them try going through a small area and clog it up.

Good advice - but this scenario sux and resux - they seem to have wanted to show they could cram a gigantic map with passes and the like - they succeeded - but who cares? I prefer "Small is beautiful" every time.

Well sara, better train with another scenario - this one just gets boring after some time - all you sayd about the elephants getting clogged, attacking enemies you aren't interested in to get killed - better move to good old AOE first. when you master that you can move to the ROR campaigns - but I didn't play all of them even now and I don't care two hoots.

I didnt know it was possible to beat it in 40 minutes...it took me an 2 hours. But i took my time and built a huge army with those villagers. If all else fails, you can type in home run and automatically beat it. I tried this the first time and beat it but i felt guilty and went back and beat it without it. This is one of the hardest scenarios ive ever played.

The funny part is, Hannibal's elephants didn't fight at all in the Alps, and even the rest of his army only fought armies of Gauls, never any cities.
