In RM if you could play any standard victory condition, which would you choose? Controlling artifacts? Controlling ruins? Building a Wonder? Or wiping your enemies completely out?
I'll say what my favorite is.
I like controlling the artifacts, but that sure makes your heart beat fast as the clock runs and you hope you can keep holding on.
But some maps do not have any relics, and so then I usually try to wipe out the enemy.
I am not much into Wonders
What do you all prefer? (Or course, I know a lot depends on what you enemy is doing, too.)

I like conquest...
I find the others to be less realistic, or to fast...

Yes, absolutely.
Conquest - maybe you are good enough to win no matter what, but for the rest of us mere mortals you don't want to be caught out by very awkward placements at random when you have enough to do already. Conquest levels the playing field, then it's REALLY down to how good you are ;-) Course if you are a better player overall you will find ways, but still, in general terms, that, as Constantine says, is the most 'honest' of wins.

I agree that conquest is the 'true' way to be victorious, however against comp i prefer to play standard victory conditions because he usually builds a wonder regardless, with the aim of winning via it standing for 2000 years. So for that reason i like to build a wonder against the comp, however on the zone, it can only really be conquest unless you're doing a specific wonder rush for example, which in my experience don't work because of enemies attacking before the wonder has been completed, usually not because they mean to attack, mostly because they build their camp so far out, that units automatically attack without you wanting them to! I guess that's one advantage of having that actual game type on aok:tc

#1) Conquest
#2) Time Limit
#3) Score
Conquest is by far my favorite. I really can't stand controlling artifacts or ruins. I can play that way, however it just doesn't seem to be as entertaining.
I think Time Limit gives you that "gotta get em killed" feeling.
Score is more as a last resort.

I think Sara's question was, Given Standard victory conditions (i.e. you can either win by conquest, artifacts, ruins or wonder), which one do you aim for?

Sasa: well i'm pretty sure that i'm right in saying that you can actually play a wonder rush like on aoe/ror you can either have dm or rm, with aok:tc you can have dm, rm, regicide (kill the king of your enemy(ies), wonder rush or something else that escapes me. So with having aok:tc you can play a wonder rush as the only objective that wins you the game.

I'm familiar with the regicide thing in AoK/TC. I don't know about the wonder rush.
Thanks, SBE.
