What I thought:
I, a Caesar 3, Caesar 2, and Pharaoh battle harded vetran could esily wipe out the entire Roman army on thew map in the RoR demo--- or so I thought. After beating Caesar 2 and becoming emporer of Caesar 3 and building so many wonders in Pharaoh I thought I was ready.
The RoR demo:
I got to the final level, I think its the final. And you start in a Carthagian city in Bronze and on that same island is where Rome and her wonder are and on the other map it is Rome and her large navy. I quickly conquered the yellow across the sea and found the mersoniares and brought them back the the mainland. At this time I did not know that I could advance to Iron and did not even know how, but I made the best of Bronze before advancing to Iron later. I inhabited all of the land from the walls of Red Rome on my island to the island of Yellow Rome. Attept after attempt I never could destroy the Red Wonder not even with the catipults and mersoniaries, then I got the real game, in my own opinion the demo is better campaign wise than the game.
How did I find out about it?:
Many people on the C3 and Pharaoh forums play, played AoE and RoR allot and I figured I'd look around at the AoE heaven site, soon I started asking questions about like: Whats the differance between AoE and RoR, and is it as good a C3, which many said it was, and it was more of a differant type of game than C3, which is allot of building, compared to allot of war.
Whats your answer to these topics?
