Sorry, but I have to comment on this. First of all, IE is NOT more buggy than Netscape. In tests run by Windows Magazine, it was shown that IE was better than both Netscape AND Opera. IE loads pages faster too. OK, and as for examples. First of all, Microsoft patches most IE bugs it comes across. Have you heard of the complex javascript but in Netscape? Basically, if you're using netscape, you can't put complex JavaScript in tables, unless you use a complicated document.write routine to fool the browser into thinking it isn't a table. No problem with that in IE. This bug has been around since the early days of Javascript. It's literally a fossil. Another bug in Netscape: if there's an unpaired font tag in a table cell, netscape crashes and burns. Both Opera and IE just give error messages. That bug has been around for quite a while too. Face it, Netscape isn't better than IE, it's just that people hold Microsoft to a higher standard, and if there's even a single bug in any Microsoft software, it'll be touted as filled with bugs.
BTW, this is for IE5, which WinMag put in their winlist, incidentally. They also put Outlook Express in the winlist, replacing Eudora, just to show you that Microsoft's software is good, people just LOVE to hate them. Please don't flame me on this thread, BTW. IF you have antimicrosoft rants, start a new thread on VVV.
Taion can think up of a number of uncomplimentary names for Netscape.
