Borgboy,
Your argument does not make sense. First, the rules are
the rules and we played by them. Second, the fact that
Scrith's dropping didn't affect the outcome is a NON point.
We lost a major player and did not ask for, get offered,
or get a restart. Our players showed up for the matches
on time and attempted to play a fair set of matches. It
was not our falut that Matty was to busy to make the first
match. I think you where incredibly fortunate to have
fangr play for you and he carried your team the first
game and I think made the difference the second game
by sneaking in on Scrith.
My team showed up for the third game, and Scrith even
got in a bit of trouble with his wife to do so, so he
could not stick around for a rematch (which is our
option to honor) and two of your teammates also had
other plans. If my team had wanted to rematch I would
have voted with them but they did not so I let it go.
If you want to get Scarab's ruling on this I am glad
to abide by it. I dont think he will allow fangr to
join your team as his team has already been eliminated.
I dont think Matty should have resigned without at least
pausing to discuss options first. He probably had other
things to do and doesn't seem real interested in the
tourney anyway. I personally would have played with the
lag or tried to negotiate a restart rather than resign.
Are there any impartial opinions out there on this
issue?
Thanks,
PendragonWRB
