I deleted my original writings because I don't like non-strategy threads here, they should be in VVV.

incidentily, if you put a C in front of rock, it becomes a Crock... I like opinions, and don't like rap a whole lot as you see, but I hate bumper sticker slogans. "Guns don't kill people, people kill people." wow, thank you so much for pointing that out, moron. Now take your shabby chevy and get a real truck.

But I'm off topic.

ICP sucks. I can say that. I'm from Michigan remember. When Faygo as just a pop (remember, in michigan we say pop. Faygo is no soda) that no one heard of, ICP was "touring" all over Michigan and still no one liked em! They had radio play in Detroit since the early 90's I guess. But that was after midnight and before 6. Always a good reason to change over to WRIF.

ICP can't rap, can't write lyrics for people over age 12 (or under either). Can't do anything all that good., I don't know why they exist.

but Faygo...its a good pop.

as for fatboyslim, I'm not big on him. I like everytime he remixes something (on the zen compilation disc)...(cornershop's "brimful" with the norman cook remix, EXCELLANT!). But I bought his CD thinking he'd be as good as his remixing ability, and only like 1 or 2 songs (the lead song is good. the singles are getting annoying).

If you want some good techno, buy compilation discs. There's a San Fran record company... Morphus? something like that, they put out a MUST HAVE for the techno fan.

as far as corporate techno goes, Propellerheads are my fav. I can listen to their remake of "on her majestry's secret service" every day any never get tired of it.

Dylan still rules....

Catch a show this summer if you don't believe me.

Time Out of Mind was an awesome album...if a bit depressing.

Think they could work some Dylan into AoK?

Heh What an interesting thread Well, I feel I should throw my music interest into this discussion. As for Marilyn Manson, I went and bought the newest CD about 3 weeks ago and did not care for it too much. He has a unique voice, but all in all I did not care for the drug lyrics. The music part sounds fine. The CD is now in the "maybe I will listen to it again....someday" case.

I am typically a 70's listener. I love bands like Foreigner, Boston, Led Zepp, Peter Frampton, Journey, etc. I would have to say my favorite band now and has been for a long time now is Metallica. This band simply rocks and I will always enjoy their music, unless they turn pop heh

I have bought Zombie's latest CD and it rocks as well. So, those that like Korn, would I like it if I like Zombie and Metallica? I don't think I have heard them yet, but I knew they were touring with Zombie a month ago and I could have gone to the concert. Oh well......Motley Crue will be here in August with Scorpions, so I am looking forward to that. Yes, they are old and has beens pretty much, but I still like their music. Besides, it brings back memories of high school.

All in all, I have to say the rock bands of the 70's are my fav. I really like Oz/Sabbath and I have been know to even listen to some Iron Maiden. Geeez, I sound like some heavy metal freak. Oh well....I just wanted to post some of my fav bands. BTW, Shania is HOT!

Dude, Heavy Metal Freaks kicks ! I'm one for sure, mainly because my dad started me on it a long time ago. Now I listen to Metallica(mainly the old shit), Ozzy, Sabbath, Megadeth, and alot of the 80's metal bands. I also like the old British Metal stuff, it just kicks...

I'm into Everclear, Jay-Z, Sade, Marvin Gaye, Fuel, Olive, Jimi Hendrix, Sarah Mclaughlin(sp?), and Massive Attack.

Current singles I enjoy
Goo Goo Dolls Black Balloon
Nas w/ Puffy You Can Hate Me Now
Sugar Ray Falls Apart

So in other words I like almost everything except the dreaded boy bands *makes the sign of a cross*

Ahhh, it's good to see this thread is still going strong.

I was thinking (don't laugh) about The Cardigans. I mean, they really are very good aren't they? They're one of those bands that steadily releases songs, never gets to number one, and has the biggest fan base in history. Oh yeah, the music is quite good.

I was also thinking about Motorhead. I mean, now there's a good band. Nice hair , great image, and very very stylish music.

Also, Steps, a band that the US has posssibly not experienced. Lets talk gigs containing 98% 6 year old girls, 2% gays. You get the idea? I mean, this is probably one of the most innovative bands of the 90s, a band that will push forward the frontiers of manufactured groups. A band whose songwriters never caught on to Nirvana, and whose advertising campaign consists of plastering themselves onto every single wannabe teen mags in the UK. You have to luvem though. Their cheeky grins, their incessant cheerfulness. And one of the girls has a nice bum.

Anyway, enough of my musical ramblings, it's Radiohead for me - "we want to kill ourselves" over nice music. Not music for kiddies, so why the hell do i listen to them?

Ah, Motorhead! Now their's an awsome band!

They're old as hell but are very good, I just love em!

Hmmm, never heard of Steps, but they remind me of KISS after their ALIVE album. So damn Teenie-Bopper after that one, can't enjoy a concert from them now . Pitty, too. They used to be very good and pretty heavy. Money. That's what made them do that, money. It's a shame...

Hawkwind Hawkwind Hawkwind. Spawned Motorhead and have the greatest album in history (The Space Ritual), followed by the greatest No.2 (Warrior on the Edge of Time) and No.3 (Quark Strangeness and Charm).

Um Army, the song is "My Name Is..." and the title of the album it's on is "Slim Shady." When you live in cities like Miami, you end up have alot of friends that like rap

Motorhead is cool, but not the best. I just have to say that the best is Ozzy. He's had the oppertunity to work with the GREATEST musicians, mainly Rhoads and Wylde who just absolutely kick(hope Wydle comes back again when OzzFest comes around Miami again ). If course, when you mention Ozzy as the best you must include him w/Black Sabbath, the lords of metal.
