The problem is, information is very patchy!
Some areas are very well explained, and some tools are very useful (such as the various SLP/DRS tools). However, there seems to be areas which are not explained very well or maybe are just myths(?).
I have created over a hundred new graphic files for a few scenarios I am working on (although many graphics are just alternative angles). I have also renamed several units for the purpose of the scenarios (such as creating 'pikemen' instead of 'infantry' for Assyrian scenario).
To get to the point...I read some details by Ancient Warrior about editing unit attributes, which doesn't seem to be complete (or by no means an attack on his/her work, a little far-fetched).
I will have a play around, but if anyone could roughly explain 'how to', that would be great. I could work around this, but in my campaigns for Assyria etc, the army is based on pikemen rather than swordsmen (as historically 'proven', armies were mainly pikemen). There are several swordsmen upgrades with appropriate names, but this is quite limited with pikemen. Also, it would be good to add a bonus vs cavalry, like AoK.
Something else that I have come across is the re-thinking of all AI, PER, CTY etc files if you choose to create scenarios with 255 population limit (or any other limit above or below 50). Once I am up to creating these files I will post some templates which tested okay.
Let me/us all know your tips, ideas or queries on this topic.
