Description: Three scenarios, my second creation that I plan to submit to the Granary. Follow the path to power in the steaming jungles, sacred rivers, and rebellious kingdoms of India in c. 300 AD. Subdue the trecherous Nagas, unify the Indian subcontinent, and create a legacy as one of the mightiest rulers of Asia.
Since I want this work to be really good, everyone who signs up will be e-mailed a copy. There is no limit to the number of people that can test it. Everyone is invited.
I personally think that this is my funnest creation. By that I mean I had a lot of fun making this campaign. Hopefully I will have just as much fun making my Crusades campaign in AOK-TC. If only those darn triggers weren't so complicated...
So go ahead and sign up. I sincerely hope that all of you enjoy this campaign immensely.
Nakul.

Triggers? Complicated? Well, Ok, but at least they do what you ask them to. Unlike, oooooh, what could I be thinking of?
P.S. Hi, Pipe, how's your campaign going?

Okay, I'll send them today.
Triggers are complicated for me because if you mess one tiny detail up, the effect (pun intended) is that the problem snowballs until the scenario has to be combed through to search for that one tiny mess up.

og.... Nakul him make cool campaign, but him best touch up history
Jokes apart, why can't there be more historically correct campaigns around, i mean that they are fun to play, but most are not correct historically, i mean let's take Rich Parker's The Mauryan Empire, cool yeah, but not historically correct enough

I think it's very difficult to make a historically accurate cpn with the way the game works...even when you are just dreaming stuff up, your imagination is kind of chanelled into what the editor will allow you to reproduce, so that is hard enough, let alone producing something that has to happen a certain way...the other limit is that you have to know a little about history...and who has time to study that and actually make the stuff?

You should try making a historical campaign about non- Mediterranean or mid-eastern civilizations in AOE sometime. If you did, you would know how necessary it can be to add your own plots and characters into the story. Otherwise, the campaign would not do its job, which is to entertain.
Imagine Rich Parker's "The Mauryan Empire" without those tidbits of drama and plot. Imagine it without Kautilya's wisdom or even Chandragupta's strong personality. There would be no storyline, no creative objectives, and just a history lesson which few would like.
So now I hope you understand why people have to add these details into the story and gameplay to make the campaign enjoyable. If we stuck to the formal, strightforward, purely historical context, we'd jeopardize the campaign's success.

HonoredMule: Right. Anyway, if you study the original scenarios that were shipped with AOE/ROR and the demos, you'll find they aren't historically accurate. For instance the Battle of Kadesh scenario, where the Hittits must defeat Egypt when it ended in a draw.
Nakul: I wouldn't worry about accuracy - in this game you can't copy historical accuracy anyway (how would you copy the real battle of Zama for instance?). Sign me up to (schrijftaal@wxs.nl).

Historically accurate, I think you are missing my point, a new plot, some new things ok, but this was the height of it all, I dont have the time to do all that typing, but if any one wants, I am willing to list at least 20 things in the Mauryan Empire campaign that are not even disaccurate historically, but are silly outright, no offence, I dont want to start a vendetta, but some little things here and there to liven up the game a bit is ok, but what I mean is that its like STRETCHING it, a historically accurate scenario does not mean that if it happened this way, its got to happen this way only, but at least the feel, the look, the gameplay might be just a little bit accurate and give it the historical look and all, but at least the History section should be accurate!
P.S.:- I liked the history section of Ingo's "Tai Gun"
"In the End, it dosent even matter...." "Everything falls apart even the people who never frown eventually break down" "Everything has to end you'll soon find we are out of time, left to watch it all unwind" : LP

Did you read my history section or not? If you did then you would realize that the campaign is accurate to my best ability.
Rich Parker's campaign more than makes up for those tidbits that you didn't like by its great gameplay, terrain, and story. Of course, wherever Rich lives he probably didn't have the resources to deeply research Chadragupta's story. He said so. Just search for that post under the heading "India". I think you'll find a thread by Agamemmnon that says "Rich Parker, how's you India campaign going?" and there I believe that Rich says he can't find enough history facts, it's all too obscure.
As for me, well, I'm Indian, so I have books to read and web sites to go to for information. Actually, you learn about Indian history in school. History about India is not a problem for me.
