Chab has found new AI modes that can be utilized in custom scenario's, which is quite the surprise!
There are 3 undocumented types.
- Load a new strategy from another file (there are some limitations I could probably fix with customROR mod). This system must come from old versions (it uses .bld files instead of .ai).
- Enable attack (I've not tested this yet)
- Set the % of desired gatherers on a resource type.
It's amazing to see that even in the AI department discoveries are still being made today.

so how will these exactly help the ai? i get the last one its obvious, but what about the other two?

You can load "multiple" strategies, which can make things much more interesting, and for the second "enable attack" would decide if the cpu can attack at a certain point, though it needs more testing to be certain.

Can u get me these files by chance? I can test them! Along with the comp editor that was released. I wander if I can increase the pop limit for the ai as well. Once I learn code maybe I can figure it out by dwelling through the games code though.


So I'm close with the first scenario... Question is how do the triggers work? Where do I find them so I can try to use them?

For triggers, I just uploaded a new version of customizeAOE
there: http://aoe.heavengames.com/dl-php/showfile.php?fileid=2464

You need to unzip all files, run customizeAOE, (in menu) install customROR.
Still in the menu, go in triggers->Get triggers documentation and select any directory on your computer (this will create and open an HTML documentation file).
The other entry in triggers menu will let you get triggers samples easily.

To create triggers in a scenario, press F3 in scenario editor, click the triggers button and paste your trigger text.

Latest customizeAOE version will open a debug window during game if some trigger is invalid, this may help.
