Dear All,
I remember a post by Omnivac where he said that if the game had been designed with a pop limit higher than 50 then the cost of upgrades would have been very different.
In the days of the boom we can build huge armies of super units in 30-40 minutes of game play.
This has set me thinking, if the game was designed to be played with a higher pop limit then wouldn't it follow that there would be more gold and stone on the map too? The only resource that increases significantly with the newer and larger maps is wood.
I think part of the reason I am so keen on SC is that they are effectively disposable units. I can grow a nice economy chop a lot of wood, farm some food , build 20 or so stables and pump SC like Choson pump legions, SC flooding. If there was more gold on the map then counter units such as HA and heps could be built in greater numbers and some of the impact of SC would be lost? Thoughts?
