Installed RoR from Gold Edition CD, and got the error message about needing the CD inserted (it was), so I installed the official Patch C01, and then UPatch HD 1.1 R3.
I set resolution to match my display at 1920 x 1080 using the UPatch Settings tool. Launched the game and everything worked fine through the menus, etc., until I got to the actual game-play and there was no cursor visible. Moving my mouse would cause the view to scroll, and I was able to marquis-select to select my villie, but no pointer visible. Had to quit the game by moving fully top and right to blindly click Menu and then hit enter to Quit the game.
Anyone else seen this and/or know the solution? I have already gone to Mouse settings and unchecked all advanced features. Have also tried other resolutions, to no avail.
I'm using Windows 10, which came installed on my new PC. Original AOE2 Age of Kings has been working fine (and still is), but I wanted to also play the older game.
I have read that adding "normalmouse" command has solved this for some AOE2 users, but also costs them seeing the attack pointer.
