I think romans are very good in nomad settings with default resources, simply because the ycan build both a TC and a house with the starting wood. Any opnions about it??

Nah. Rome wins at the start. Once they put down that town center they are already 30 wood ahead of everyone else. Of course a Shang player can out vill produce a Roman at some later point. Still an interesting observation. Maybe this could be decisive in a stone or early tool war. Lots of ways to use to use this particular bonus. A Roman player could use the extra wood to build more buildings or use fewer vills cutting trees. I suppose this could mean a faster tool and bronze or greater number of buildings faster. Maybe more docks could be built or more barracks.

even with that extra house I bet you rome has a long enough villager delay later that shang catches up to them in villagers. Not to mention shang needs fewer people on food so they will get the fishing going strong faster. Sure rome will get the dock up as fast, shang will keep the dock in business more consistnatly.

I have played a bunch of rome nad shang in nomad and am sure that shang can bronze/boom faster than rome even in nomad.. but rome is clearly comparable to phoe now... neilkaz
