Hi.
I would like to ask if anyone has encountered a bug in the resources production (wood, gold mining, stone mining and food) during the iron age when it is limited to a maximum of two units for villager. Any solution?

If it's from Jihad, it isn't a bug. I don't think I've ever had this happen without having researched Jihad (I haven't noticed it, at least).

Thanks for the answers. I did not know this implication of the Jihad research (avaliable only in the Iron Age indeed): however it seems far more detrimental then beneficial. Next game I will check it out.

Yes absolutely.
In my mod I chose to reduce the penalty
- Original game: drops from 10 to 2 (+bonuses)
- in my mod: drops from 10 to 5 (+bonuses)
- in Upatch i thnk it's 3 ou 4 ? (+bonuses)
2 is really unacceptable to me. If needed the jihad bonus can be reduced, but the penalty is really exaggerated.

Yeah the original penalty is really extreme. It's especially silly since there is no other way to make Villagers stronger (they have such low HP and die after one or two hits by almost everything in Iron Age).

Yeah Palmyran Villagers are the strongest, but don't forget about how fast Assyrian Villagers are - with Jihad and Wheel, they become the second fastest unit in the game, slower than Heavy Horse Archer but faster than a regular HA (which are already faster than cavalry)!

Jihad penalties bother me, correcte me if I am wrong but I think it is the only technology that has negative effects.

Just tested: It takes 8 Villagers with Jihad (and no Siegecraft) to destroy a fully upgraded Babylonian Ballista Tower. But it takes only 5 with Siegecraft (and no Jihad), and without Jihad the Villagers also have much less HP. A Jihad Villager without SC only does about 2 points of damage per hit. A Villager with SC but no Jihad does about 11 or 12 points per hit. Obviously the two of these combined makes the process even faster. But the point is, Siegecraft is what really causes the rapid tower/wall destruction.
