Apparently this is a common problem.
Whenever playing RoR with buddies on LAN, the game will sometimes disconnect; and since there's no way to save, you will be abruptly escorted to the menu.
Is there any way to prevent this from happening? Or at least make it occur less?
It really makes multiplayer via LAN unplayable. Sometimes it'll disconnect early on; but usually in the later game.
If there is no way to remedy this, I must say, it's a sad disappointment, and ES/MS should have allowed saving games... it wouldn't be too hard.
I wonder if there's an external application which can save states.

I only use wired networks, never wireless -- wireless is too slow for my taste.
Well I certainly never run anything in the background, but the people I play with probably do.

Yes Basse, we did, i'm saying that i can only play multiplayer on a local network or thru gameranger. Any other method like IGZ, gamespot or tcp ip thru a router fail for me.
