Hiya. I looked around and didn't see the question addressed anywhere. Is there any way at all to get opponents to change diplomatic stance with you to friendly or neutral? Aside from the obvious presets of certain scenarios of course. Thanks and sorry if I missed this from a previous post, and thanks for have'n me here.

Welcome. It's not possible in a random map game against computer players. And yet, for reasons that I don't understand, a computer player may turn ally with you.

In a normal game you have two options:
1 make teams, in which case all diplomacy will be gone, except that allies may declare war on being attacked by you.
2 No teams. In the per file there's something that regulates how soon the computer player will like you after you give tribute. In theory, if you pay enough tribute and switch to ally the computer might do the same.
In scenario's you can create some diplomacy options. For better diplomacy it is therefore better to make an own scenario with edited pers.

I have always wondered how to fix an alliance with a neutral computer player. So you can actually do it by tributing enough resources to the computer?
