the .cpx campaigns are designed for RoR, NOT for aoe. That x is for expansion. Aoe plays .cpn files and will very likely crash when trying to play .cpx. RoR can play .cpn though.
I don't think you can convert maps. The only thing you can try is extracting the file with campaign manager (somewhere in the granary) and open the scenario's with the editor and delete everything from RoR. Including nations as Romans and Carthaginians. I'd rather leave it or play it with RoR.

You should play it with RoR - it's designed for it. I could always play that campaign with the patched full version of RoR (not on the Gold edition).

what's the diference between aoe editions? just new maps or anything else too?
I have played only gold edition cuz i bougt it several years ago.

The differences have to do with some bug fixes and improvements in the gameplay.
i.e. in RoR 1.0 phoenicians collected wood waaaay too fast to have a fair game against them, also Shang villagers were too cheap, and there was no idle villager key.
for RoR 1.0a, they lowered phoenician woodgathering efficiency and made shang villies cost more. Also they added the . as the idle vilager key.
