Yeah... I guess I am... Kinda akward, but whatever. I guess I was kind of crazy in the head at the time, but really now with wrestling season going on I really need something to get my mind off things... Another kid won't stop challenging me for my spot, and every time we wrestle it's pretty close but I almost always get it in the end I have a wrestle-off with him wednesday and frankly I'm a bit nervous... I need something to keep myself calm and this really isn't a bad way to do it.

Well I am glad you are bacl.

It is also good to see user-input is still going strong for nearly all Heavens, as long as their is community input in all areas of the site I think HG will be rolling along for many years to come.

That is highly interesting Dean thanks for sharing. I remember at one stage I had data on all the numbers of scenarios and campaigns reviewed but I think I lost that a while ago. Still this is great to have. Will it be updated monthly?

Okay, so AOE has the second highest percentage of reviewed material, but how does the amount of material compare to other heavens? Because if AOE gets ten new things a month you just can't compare that percentagewise to if AOE3 gets fifty new things a month. Or did you factor that in?

Or am I not making any sense at all right now? I wouldn't be suprised, its really late for me and I was up early the last two days working.

Yeah... You're right. I should have thought about that before I made this huge list. But anyway, I promise that by the start of the next month i'll have the number of files reviewed/total amount of files posted, so this makes more sense. Along with a number of the total of new reviews and new submissions. Sounds good?

And yes of course this will be updated monthly Why start this and not keep it going?

You'd be surprised if you knew how many people started websites for AoE and didn't keep them going. Erm, welcome back & keep up the good work and that sort of thing.

But anyway, if anyone has any suggestions on how to make this easier to read or make it more organized, please let me know. It's kind of messy as of right now...

We're No. 1 thanks to the diligence of the reviewers (of course you are in great part responsible of it, Dean). I think you must change the opening paragraph to reflect this.

Yeah... I'm kind of burned out on AoE. After 160 reviews it's time to go to a different website.

If I could pass down the torch to someone else and know they'll keep it going, I would. But I'm not really sure anyone else wants to.

Maybe I should start one of those "review" threads...

While I have nowhere near the total scores of Dean (just 47 reviews and 218 comments), and I am also taking a sabbatical from AoE reviewing to relieve a slight burnout syndrome (playing Freelancer right now), I always seem to be inexorably drawn back to this game, so I would humbly submit my offer to keep the reviews coming. However, I don't think I could handle updating the stats in the top of the post, too complicated.

On a completely different topic, how is your wrestling going? I took Karate most of my life, but did a couple years of Jiu Jitsu (in my 60's)and I loved grappling. I'd still be training except I decided I should quit before I break something important.

Will you be over in Children of the Nile? I'm thinking about getting it from File Planet.

I review occasionally, and write pretty in-depth, but I'm not going to be the official review guy, as I don't think I could handle it.

Also, I generally play games in a pattern, moving on whenever I'm tired of one: AoE, AoK, AoE3, Civ 4. Rinse and repeat.

I haven't got much done with AoE lately, so I may drop in activity until I return, which will be eventually.

Anywho, see you around Dean, thanks for the extreme help to the community (and I do mean Extreme).

Thanks for asking Skald... I'm stuck at #2 145 as of right now, but the only person in my weight is due to move down in after a couple duals. As long as I can beat anyone who challenges me, I should have my spot back... Hopefully.

As for Children of the Nile, I recently got a new comp and the game, fortunately, works wonderfully on it... Expect to see a number of reviews posted up there in the next few months or so.

CotN scenarios are much, much more difficult to review than AoE ones, and if you don't have a whole lot of experience with city-builders already it might be a good idea to play through the campaign and and get the knowledge of the game in your head before you start reviewing.

As for the game itself, its pretty fun---its basically Pharaoh or Caesar III only with brilliant graphics and a hell of a lot more complicated. If your a fan of city-builders than I'd highly reccomend it.

The site is quite inactive, and new submissions are quite rare, new reviews are almost completely non-existant. A while ago I got really interested in the game and made an attempt to re-vitalize the page---I tried to draw people in from the Tilted Mill Forums but didn't get a whole lot of luck... I got a couple guys to post some scenarios and some others to participate in the HG forums for a little bit, but ultimately I found that I couldn't really help the site too much at all other than writing reviews... And unfortunately, once my notebook busted I couldn't even do that. With a shiny new comp, I've already decided I'm going to try and finish up my work.

If you decide to start reviewing there, I don't know how I could be any more thrilled...
