Brush = No idea...
Blitz = Play like Blitz (one of the mods here) does. Ie. boom enormous amounts of units and hardcore attack, not caring about losses (that's what I thought a blitz is, anyway)
Push = I presume you force the player backwards into a corner
Probe = Send random units (max amour scouts work well) into their base to kill villagers. Highly effective when you enter bronze.
Power up = Boom on resources, then go hardcore on technologies.
At least, that's what I think they all are. Someone else can prove me wrong. Oh, and where did you get these from?

The glossary needs an update badly, that's clear.
I think that a Brush is a bowman rush - for obvious reasons. For one, the writer mentions a bowman rush, and he's completely silent about war ships - funny that, in an article about the civ that can blow away all opposition on a wet map if done right.
And a blitz can't be a BlitzkriegComin style gameplay because this article was written before Blitz entered the game - or I think so.
Also notice how the writer stresses that you use the versatility of Phoenie in Bronze - surprise your opponent by attacking with a different set of units every time you go at his throat. Blitz's style is more brute force.

Their being so fast was before the patch, right? From what I understand the patch slows them down, but by how much in today's gameplay?

You don't have to uninstall it for that - just copy the original files from your CD to your harddisk and run them instead of the patched versions.

BBalazs:
That's exactly what I meant; except I call the old versions aoeprepatch.exe or something like that.
