Yes! Thanks to all of the helpful advice from the strategy section of this website, I have finally managed to hit Bronze at 14:40. I know that I can improve this time, and definately my Iron time, a dissapointing 22:30. I was aiming for 20 at least.

___
I've just broken my bronze record again! At 13:30, it beats the last record by 1:10 mins

Well done. But remember that even if you have a bronze time under 15 mins that you still need a strong econ and lots of villies. I never really knew what this meant until I played against and with Duan Xuan.

Explain what he did? I'm just wondering, that's all.

He bet him to death because he had a better economy.

He merely showed me that to have an awesome econ you needed tons and tons of villies. I was able to bronze in just under 15 minutes now and again but I never knew what booming was till DX showed me and even then I still found it hard to actually pull off right. But please don't let that put you off. Like I say I'm not the best player and I didn't play enough it get a whole lot better. Just take a lot at some of the games that Blitz and DX have and you'll see what I mean by booming.

Hi youarevictorious, what map were you playing on and what was your pop size when you hit Tool and Bronze respectively? A 22:30 Iron timing is pretty damn good, if you're playing under normal circumstances against a real human player, and constantly busying yourself with territorial expansion and your econ.

As for my booming... nah it's nothing much really. I can get the size, but I can't make use of my econ properly. Btw, here are a few recounts of some of my past games, with screenshots. Hopefully that should give you a rough idea on what to expect in competitive games (though they aren't exactly top-end ones).

Map was Coastal.
I had 21 vills at tool advance, same with bronze. I hit Iron and boomed against the already weakened enemy I was playing. He happened to be Sumerian. I was Assyrian.
