Okay, so I have been having trouble from the stupid computer always allying with other computers and never with me. I understand how most of the world works. You give person A resources, he allies with you. Isn't that the way the computers work? Anyone know how to get computers to ally with you?

That depends. In a random map game you have to set team numbers. Sometimes a computer player may turn ally for no reason I could discover, but it's extremely rare.
In a scenario you can code a personality file that will make a computer player your ally if you tribute it.

So ultimately you have to pre-set the teams before the game even starts? Gay.... But thanks for the help, Bro.

Well, there is a SN for PC allying with a player on a certain level. What is this level?

I'm gonna assume you know how to use per files. If not, look up the granary. But basically, you just:

DEFAULT
217 1 //SNAllowDiplomacyChangeOnTribute Yes
END

Into a per file.

In a random map, diplomacy is defined by random. When you play with 3+ computer players, half of these computers will be willing to ally with you. The rest will NOT and will send the following message after you pay them tribute:
Your petty offerings will not sway my determination to crush your empire!
This is set randomly, so sometimes it is Player 2, sometimes 3, etc. All you have to do to complete alliance is sending him tribute (200 gold units, I think). The other option is asigning teams for each player. The rule above applies on the unteamed players.

Of course, you can always ignore diplomacy and fight against all computer players. To make sure no one hesitates to fight you, you can always set all players to a team, excepting yourself, of course.

Therin lies another problem though in regular AoE/RoR. The 'alliance' is still pretty much one sided even then. It favors the computer players and opponents due to them NEVER giving you a single iota of tribute!

That is something I love about the beta version phatfish found, where if you switch during game you CAN recieve tribute from allied computer players. Good question is will a enemy player ever tribute you in order to switch sides? that would be awesome.

I don't know if we can be able to accomplish that in DoM since I think the exe controls that

Well, the diplomacy in AoE is very clumsy.

I hate it, when shotting from the catapult or attacking with eles or scythes, when I touch my cp ally he always turns diplomacy to enemy. In my opinion, this is a big mistake of that men that created this game.

By the way, when cp shoots at another cp player, it doesn't matter for him.

well if you use a custom per file with your ally you could splash damage him I believe.

Yes with the correct per or editing of the numbers you can do that.

215 //SNAllowDiplomacyChangeOnAllyAttack - can be 0 or 1. IIRC if you set it to 0 your ally will not turn on you if you hurt it.

215 0 //SNAllowDiplomacyChangeOnAllyAttack

Like that. You should read the article on the subject.

You put it in the per file you make for the allied civ in your scenario. As I said: read the article. It's worth your while. And it was written to be read.

It doesn't work there. In RM or DM, forget about allies staying loyal. Consider it as part of the deal/game. I hate it, and if I play with an ally, I don't make war eles, cats and scythe chariot. It's sad, but it works.

You can try inserting that line in the regular per files - for instance aggressive.per. Add it at the end of the file, but before the END statement.

I didn't. But there are only six default per files that you can add them to, so have a go at it.
