We will divide this in two Sections, so I ask everyone to contribute naming their choice for each.
Section 1: Age of Empires ("AoE")
Section 2: Expansion "Rise of Rome" ("RoR")
Ok, I start with my choices:
Gotta be Reason: It allows you to make CA, the overall Bronze Age dominator! Before you can kill them, you'll be left with no economy. Most Composite Bowman Civs are unable to make them in time for the arrival of the CA. You don't have camels, cavalry can be handled via micromanaging ("Chariot dancing") and ST are way too expensive to put to use here, as well as towers (the most effective counter) might set you even more back. So, the Wheel gives your Assyrian play the edge (after the Assyrian villager's extra speed, that is, but that's not any upgrade, simply a Civ bonus). Transforming the measle Chariot, a second-class Cavalry, into the super-flooding unit, that takes on Cataphracts, foot troops, compies, buildings and elephants (not armored), even phalanx (not Cents), that's something. This upgrade alone saves the Egyptian from being relegated to the most humiliating oblivion and makes them stay at par with other killer Civs out there. Now you, fellow Forumners (while you last!)... Here I have no doubts at all:
Ok, I casted my vote and justified it.
Wise_Max is the slowest player on Earth.
But Wise_Max has a lot of fun playing. So, he always wins even when he loses the game. And he made Friends.
Is that Wise or what?...
