Yam: a seige weapon, either cats ot ballista -- would go a long way toward making them competetive again
Phoen: Iron age cav armor bonus

Hitt: they got too much already. Take away heavy cats
Mace: u said it: wheel; also like ot see them get basic cat
Greek: a missle unit; at LEAST improved bowmen, preferably compies
Carth: like Greek a missle unit, improved bowmen
Shang: take away IBs and Compies
Palmy: reduce vill cost by 5 food for 70 food each
Minoan: I think they're pretty balanced. Their iron is nearly as weak as people seem to say. HCats and Hele's are a potent combination, back up by the 3 Cs: cav, camels, compies. They're not the strongest iron civ, but they can hang
Roman: make brax units faster walkers as well, like +20 speed
