The other day, a friend and i were browsing through a the per
document file that came with aoe. We found a line that could be
added which would allow the computer to reach it's full 200 pop.
We discovered that the reason our designed ai's couldn't expand
past 50 pop, was because it wasn't programmed to build houses
past the 50 limit. This new line tells the per to build as many
houses as necessary to reach the 200 pop. As is, the per will
build up to the 50, so you have 150 left over. Divided by 4 (for
each house), the amount of needed houses came out to be about 38.
Here is what the line should look like in each of your per files:

per. Then, you should edit your ais using an ai editer
prefferebly.
