In a very long ffa game, (The 5 and 1/2 hour one) everyone ran out of gold. So after killing a small base my last enemy had in my part of the map, I left one of his docks up. I had some ships near it if he built any more triremes. I then built 2 docks near it, and 4 trade ships. I began trading wood and food for gold. Anyway, I ended up getting enough gold to build about 8 more hvy cat's to go with my horde of chariot archers. I ened up winning the game much faster because of the extra gold. What do you all think.

No, I don't think it is a lame tactic. It is his fault. He could have hit DELETE, and no more dock. It is his fault.

Agreed, your opponent was stupid for not deleting the dock. Either that or he was just blind. There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with trading with your enemy if you can protect your ships. Thats kinda funny though

Its not a lame tactic, he probaly did pay attention, other wise he would of deleted the dock. Besides it took some creativity from you side to see that oppertunity. Good job.

He said he forgot about the dock. He also jokingly said it was cheating.

I agree with Ex_Akaval and all the others,

Well Done !!!

You must have had some guts trading with his dock while you can expect the delete key at every moment.

This isn't laming at all, it's playing smart and having your eyes open!

When playing FFA games, I have many times had the opportunity to trade at the docks of a "retired" player. I value that dock quite highly and protect it as my own.

Only thing LAME here is that he didn't delete his dock ! I have won games late by trading with resigned/dropped partners/enemy several times. Moral is when you see enemy units near your buildings check it out !
