I want to be able to play Age of Empires with more people around town because, living in New Zealand, I don't get good pings with many people on the Zone. I usually get into a good game with all green people and then a great big red comes in and we have to politely get them out.
So, anyway, my question is, is it illegal for me to install the game of a friend's computer and then take my CD away just so that we can play mulitplayer. My friend wouldn't be able to play single player. Please fill me in.

Be the first ager ever to read the license agreement and you will see.
My understanding is that your plan would be ok, as long as you don't charge for it. Up to 3 people per CD in multiplayer, I believe are allowed to play.

Sure, thats ok. Thats what I did. Since my modem is slow compared to others, I showed AOE to my friend, he loved it. He loaded it on his computer. We player over modem(he lives just behind my house), and then I find a site that you can download this file so you can play AOE singlrplayer without the CD in. Well, that is probably illegal, but he used it anyway, and it worked. Then he had ebough money to but it, so he brought it anyway. So we play a lot. Then ROR comes out. I get it a couple of weeks later. He doesn't have it yet. So I still have to play AOE multiplayer. But for Christmas he got it, so yahoooooo. But he was going to Michigan for Christmas, so I can't play ROR.
So what I am saying is, yeah, sure, load it onto your friends computers and play.
