noble:
1. AEs and EAs are not the same.
2. Yes, EAs are rarely used.
3. For millions of years people didn't fly, therefore it's impossible to fly... right?

"Firstly the Egypt player goes scythes and then EAs meaning if the helo attack is quite early then EAs are too late."
Egypt could do the reverse of course - EAs first and scythes next.
"And what if the helo player brings cats or AEs which both kill EAs easily. They can be behind the helos and only brought in when needed."
Yes, they can do that.
"And then what if the Egypt wants to attack?"
Send in EAs first, then as the cats come out start sending in the scythes. You can kill off his heles faster than he can kill off your eles, and your scythes can mop up his cats.
"Egy is only very good if it has an ally with cats."
I agree, but IMO more because of towers than heles.

Any civ can be stopped - but yes, with a well-matched ally egypt can be a real pain.
