God, it was a sight. The frightening continual din of massed catapult boulders crashing into one building after another while the horse archers and HC picked off villagers and combatants as though they were at a gore fest. The Macedonians simply erased the Choson.
So, I thought I'd form an alliance between the Greeks and Babylonians against the Assyrians and Sumerians. Sophisticated stone masons against superstitious mud daubers. Should be no contest, right? Wrong! Somehow the Assyrians and Sumerians worked in harmony against me, while my Babylonian allies ate grapes, or something. Oh, and those Sumerian catapults! What a weapon! I found myself on the losing end of a massed attack. I had to quit it before it got too ugly.
Still, leased to point out that I now achieve technological superiority routinely, all thanks to the sage advice to create huge numbers of villagers in the early ages in order to harvest the resources needed for development of powerful combatants later on.
But those Greeks really disappointed me.
