You know, I like vanilla ice cream. If someone comes up to me and says "Strawberry is better," I don't have to become defensive. I can be glad for him that he likes strawberry, and I'll go right on liking vanilla.
It does not diminish AoE or me if someone likes AoK better.
Even if they come up to me and give me "10,000 reasons why AoK is better," that is OK too.
I can say, "I'm glad you like AoK." I don't have to defend what I like.
Having choices in life is our right. And others' right too. And even if one attacks our preference, we don't need to argue. We can take a look perhaps at what he is saying, and then say "OK. I can see the value in what you like."
BUT I go right on liking -- LOVING -- my own vanilla ice cream - AoE - or whatever.
I wonder if the reason we have become defensive about AoE is because so many people have abandoned AoE for AoK. We have to let that be OK. And go on and be happy with who we are and what we like. Not be defensive.
There will be more people who will "leave" AoE once AoM comes out. And EE. We just have to accept that.
But the important thing is we are now playing and loving a wonderful game (AoE) and we can come to this forum to talk.
Peace. Sara
