Peter, have you downloaded the AoK Demo and the TC demo? after that just search around AoKH and you will find out a good bit about AoK and then the changes made in TC etc...

Hello, everyone.
Thanks for the kind words. I do so try to be respectful, and it's nice to see that sometimes it comes across.
Anyway, I will be starting a new thread here about where to begin, and things to avoid, while playing AoE/RoR. My question here is:
What forum should get the thread? Not only where is it appropriate but where will it get the most helpful responses?
My friends and I have a week-long LAN party coming up in the Finger Lakes region of NY (anyone live up near there?), and it might be nice to play AoE/RoR in between the vicious bouts of AoK/Cossacks/Crimson Skies/and Rogue Spear.
