Gazelles only decay when no one is getting meat from them, so, to make the most of it, have one hunter start getting meat when the other is half done. This way, there will always be one person getting meat, therefore the gazelle will not decay.

I'm not 100% sure on this, but I believe that hunted animals decay regardless if you are gathering from them or not. It is just that you can't really notice it because the meat value is constantly changing. Hope that makes sense.

They do decay, but obviously if you have about 4 guys on one animal at a time there is always someone grabbing from it while others are taking food to the pit so you maximise the loss. I like to put around four villies per animal if I can. Theoretically it should be possible to gather the food faster than it can go off, and with 4 or more on one animal it's hard to see the difference without a stopwatch, if indeed a difference exists.
