Whats your all time favorite fan-made levels?

It can be from AoE/RoR or AoK games, and it does not matter if it is one level or more, or single player or multiplayer.

Mine are:
Carthiginian Dreams(RoR)- the rebirth of Carthage, Pheonicia- and conquering the world.

Scipio and the Second Punic War(best of AoE/RoR?)- I played this one long ago- but I remember only that it was good, and I'll redownload it oneday...

Gen. Belisarius (AoK) by King Solomon- A very very good campaign about the carrer of that famous Roman gen., also has a great well disigned city of Constantinople (and one of Rome that he designed) from :"The Fall of Constantinople" by Shaytana

Joan Of Byzantium Demo (AoK) by Irish Woman- It's a nice campaign- rather simple, and it's almost like the one above)

Whats your favorite?

There are several AOE/ROR cpns that I love:
The two Brothers & Mago by Ingo van Thiel, the two David cpns by Imhotep are perhaps the best I've seen so far.

The two Brothers will always be one of my favourites. Lately I've been looking at some of 'the best of' for both games, and am really into Ty Freeborn's campaign - it's huge and will keep me occupied for a while, and the hints will probably look more like War and Peace ;-), but it is very cool if you like big battles, or even if you don't.

The David Campaigns are the only ones I have played.

And with David 2, I was in a crisis! Stuck. Frustrated beyond words.

But after a little bit of help from the forum, I moved from being stuck and frustrated to pure enjoyment.

The creator of these two campaigns must be really smart. They are beautiful - even if you find yourself "stuck."

I finally realized it is more a puzzle to be solved in those funny "stuck moments." And the solving was not without humor.

That's part of the game. There's hardly a scen where I haven't been stuck and frustrated beyond endurance - and most others probably can say the same. When you find the solution the feeling of being victorious is all the better.
Keep trying.

I admit that I haven't downloaded more than a handfull of campaigns from the granary. My favorite I played however was "Odyssey" by John Marshall. It was a very interesting puzzle.

Played LOTR by Rich Parker?, One of the coolest, same with Tai-gun and Tai-gun II, but I hope to download Stephen`s campaign sometime around tonight.

Yes, they are great. I've also had a look at Odyssey and it's only 1 scenario but it's a great little game. Might just do some hints for it sometime. Recommended.

I have played the campaigns that came with both of the retail games. Some are quite good, some are not. Also I have played several of the scenarios compiled on that CD "Final Conquest for Age of Empires". I played those because the CD was on sale in the grocery store for $5.

But I have only just begun playing the fan made campaigns available here. I thank you all for your excellent suggestions. Today I downloaded Odyssey and am going to try that.

Would any of you care to recommend any specific designer? Imhoetep I have heard of. And Phill Phree, I see your name in the Granary. Would you recommend which one of your creations you think a person should begin with?

Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!

Man behind the curtain - Lol, I'm not one of the greats, far from it, I got enough emails from people asking for more to keep trying though ;-) Still, any of them really, Vision was my first effort and looks very crude to me now, but I still think the story was good. And some have had problems with the very first scenario in Vision, so if you have achieved the objectives just home run it, no amount of fixing by me seemed to make any difference. All the other scns are fine.

Glory is the follow up to Vision with better maps and stuff, and I did a lot of work on the .pers and .ais. I'm particularly proud of the instruction map in scenario 3 and the gameplay in scenario 4. But I'd have to say Conan, really. It's a standalone and my latest, so give that a go. Unlike Vision and Glory you are not the same civ all the way through, and hopefully it will encourage those who play it to read the original stories, as they are a lot of fun, and Conan 2 is on the drawing board. Map tricks are not my speciality but there's more imagination there, I'm slowly improving in that area but, having as much artistic ability as a lamp post, I go for a good fight without it being too much of a slug fest and spend hours tweaking the .pers and maps to alter how the CPs fight - you can decide for yourself if I succeeded.

Thanks in advance for your time.

Since I don't have RoR....

The Two Brothers,

and "The Quest" for AoK.

The Two Brothers is probably the best - it's a marvel really. The only bad thing about it is the tame title. That second scenario - I can't get over the way you have to finish that.

Second? Er.....oh, yeah, that was awesome!! So was the eagles VC idea, and the way the Gaia boat gets converted.

That last one still stomps me - how can a gaia unit be converted if none of your units come close?

For RoR I Have only tried three Campaigns all made by one Person, INGO VAN THIEL.

1 Budonian Tales
2 Mago
3 The Tai Gun

For Aok: TC I have Played so much More

1 Tamerlane, Prince of Destruction
2 The King's Best Men
3 The Quest (Yes, I Like Ingo Van Thiel's Campaigns)
4 The Nexus (It Was Robbed of 5.0 By Stan)

This List Will Grow Soon.

If I had to really pick an all time favourite it has to be The Martial Emperor, but I like different campaigns for different things.
