Halfway through the carnage, he really starts dissing me. "Loser", "Amatuer", "Beginner" and so other not so nice names flash across my screen. After a minute or so long tirade, he resigns. All he had left was his TC, which was down under 50% anyway due to the axers. I had already hit the bronze upgrade and was looking to B in about 17:00. (I never stopped making boats and had about 18 of them bringing in food)
So what's the point of this rambling post? Just that I think a well-executed tool Push (in this case it became a rush) is among the hardest strategies to execute. It is in no way an amature thing to do. It requires execllent scouting and RM to makes sure you have the wood and the food. The thing is though, it can be a killer if you don't do it well, because you fall too far behind.
On average, I find being aggressive in Tool costs me 2:30 - 3:00 on my B time. With a dock first start, I can tool in 9-10 with 14 real and a buncha boats, get 2 fully upgraded scouts harassing the enemy, and still B in 16-17.
What do some of the other players around here do in regards to being aggressive in tool? Seems that most Zoners are in a race to B and when you can hit them good in tool, it really throws a wrench in their plans.
