I remember there's an old joke about programmers. It's like this: Programmers are like labourers who build a house and when it's ready, they leave their tools and everything behind, and for the next house they devise them all over again.

Better e-mail ES about this leaving out of nice campaigns.

Sara:
Don't know their e-mail adress; but if you go to their site, I suppose you will find it there.
As to your questions, I'm afraid they simply didn't think about it. You are right, of course. Don't know if they visit these forums.

Maybe they made the trial versions after the full game was finished and shipped out?

Cherub Socrates:
We knew that. It's just that Sara and I and it seems some others too like the demo music better and anyway: if you bought or got the game without knowing about the demo, you would miss the demo campaign; and the demo campaign is much nicer than most of the original campaigns.

The music isn't part of the campaign, it's in a subfolder of the game as a set of .mid files... you can listen to them with your favorite midi player. So you could overwrite the full version music with the trial version music, and... listen to it while running around with your war eles and HHAs.

The music gets copied to the hard drive as part of the install, so I assumed ES did it for a reason. Then again, MS has been known to do things for no reason at all.

If you want to play with the midi's instead of the CD music just download a no-CD crack and dont play with your CD in... if the CD isnt in the game plays the midis instead.
BTW, as far as i know the midis are the same songs as the CD, just with the classic midi sounds, lol.
