Yes, the little program that comes with MS office does work. Microsoft Photoshop Editor, I think it's called. The only probelm is that it's terrible for cropping. You can't do it by just dragging your mouse around, you have to put in numbers...it's really awful for cropping. I know there are others out there, but I think that they are mostly demos and add stripped lines to your pics.

Ha! Forget that! Just save your .bmp as "any file" instead of .bmp and then just rename the file and add the appropriate extension, ex.- "picture.jpeg"

y, but with some programs, MS paint included i think, it doesn't actually change the format. A good way to test that is to put your pic on the web. create a .jpg and a .gif, and compare how they appear when you dl them.

yea it does change to format, I do it all the time on my computer. Just try it and you'll see.

you could get photoshop 4. it might be a little spendy though.

I found a REally nice freeware program that lets you save it in any format. It's wicked simple because that's all the program does. it's only like 700k. Drop me a line if ya want it. ninedaywonder@juno.com
