I've searched this site and the bug list at gamersx but can't find any info. about this problem. I'm using RofR on Win. 95. and have had this problem in both AofE and RofR.
Has anyone had grouping problems whereby AofE screws up your groups? So I can click on one of a group of chariots, see the group highlight on screen, then click off and on again and now the group includes a bunch of villagers? Needless to say, this gets annoying after a while, particularly when you're fighting a battle. It doesn't happen all the time, but often enough that it's a real problem. I'm certain that I'm not grouping incorrectly. I'll lasso several units that don't presently belong to a group, then hit the group button and the group is created. That's all I should need to do, right? It seems to happen later in games once I have a large population. Once the problem starts occurring in a game, it seems there's nothing I can do to correct it. I'll group and regroup (and re-regroup) units, then test by clicking on and off and usually within a couple of tests I'm getting groups screwed up. BTW, when I do this I _definitely_ do not have any other groups selected (meaning I'm not accidentally combining groups). I watch the entire (thumbnail) map to make sure that nothing's highlighted when I do this. Anybody have an idea why this might be happening? Thanks.
