Thinker, Persian rules on smaller 1v1 DMs. The rush is so fast it's nearly unstoppable...on the larger maps though the rush is slower and can usually be stopped. Also in team games Persian is not as good because their middle game is crap.
Phracts/Cavs still suck Ghost. Okay if you're Greek and need an anti-cat unit cavs are your best (only) choice. Problem is these things require too much gold, especially when u see that Roman, with a nearly identical tech tree, can pump out scythes that cost no gold (and kill cats better).
"Cats and heles can take down basically anyone but Hitt..." that is basically true i guess, but on the smaller maps again Persian rush will kill the Greeks before they know what's happening. Greek cents/helos just don't produce fast enough to keep up with the fast Persian ellies and fast building stables.
Other civs that can kill Greek in DM...Roman, because it has scythes in the endgame, Choson, even though cents+helos wipe legions extremely fast, the legion rush is usually too fast for Greek, which has to rely on slow building buildings and units (cents+helos take nearly twice as long to build as legions and the buildings that produce them take a long time to build as well.), babs, who can tower rush or go hcat+ball tower and can build scythes.
I just don't see a good reason for playing Greek in RoR DM anymore...am I missing something? Romans do everything they do, except better.
On the larger maps Hitt owns Persia...priests+HHA...if the game goes past 20 mins Persia is dead. (probly 10 mins...)
And finally bab towers are awesome on tiny IMHO!
