The settings were as follows: nomad, coastal (;-)), default resources, no reveal, and pop 150. I chose roman and he chose assy. I soon discovered my tc was in a tc sweet spot :-). I had berries, wood, stone, and 5 sf all w/ in 10 tiles of my tc. Good thing rome has cheap buildings :-). I kept scouting the map trying to find darth and i soon found out this map had shallows, so i went across the map and there was darth. I tooled in 15 mins and bronzed in 18. I had approximately 25 villes and 8 fb. As soon as i tooled, i walled the shallow and built 3 towers to guard the shallow. I then proceeded to bronze. Between the tool and bronze age, i decided to go for the cav attack. As soon as i reached bronze, i started getting a few cav and pumping villes. I then discovered darth had towered and walled. But his wall was incomplete and i snuck a few cav and and killed lots of woodies and farmers. Still, this nut would take a little more force to crack. I think he had 6 towers defending his town. Then i built a siege workshop and got 2 st. I then had enough res to build approximately 14 cav units. I then attacked his mediocre tool town in full force. The only thing left was his walls which were blown wide open by my st. Darth did however, manage to wipe out my fish fleet w/ some scout ships, but by then i had over 1000 food stored and was on bronze transition so i really didn't care. The only thing left of his *mighty empire* was 4 scout ships, which were soon to be decimated by my war galleys. But the, darth decided to resign.
