Today I played my first AoE game since RoR came out, and I sucked . First off, I clicked 4 times on the Train Vill button and I forgot about it. Later on, I was wondering why no villagers were coming out, and then it hit me. Even though I tried to keep this in mind, the matter kept recurring, and not only with the villagers .
That's not all though. From time to time, I kept trying to find out my pop by watching the top of the screen . Once I even forgot about it since it wasn't in my view, and I ended up being warned that more houses are needed. Hehe, that was also funny.
And lastly, I wanted to build slingers as soon as I hit the Bronze button, but was extremely surprised not seeing the training button available.
Well, all bad luck didn't stop here, and besides all this fumbling around I lost two consecutive vill scouts to lions, and ended up walling my town in the wrong direction . You should have seen my face when, after raising the front wall(at least I thought it was front), a scout appeared out of nowhere in my woodies.
Well, I lost the game eventualy, and I think I'll have to practice against the computer before I will play again .
The right place for this post is probably in the Veni,Vidi,Vici Forum, but I get the impression that few people go to it...

Your experience makes me feel much better about some of the games I've suffered through recently. I had the same problem going back to AOE once...trying to queue up villagers and ending up turning off the pipeline altogether by clicking production off by mistake.

On another AOE/RoR tangent, is it just me or does there seem to be a lot more wildlife in RoR? I seem to be almost constantly harrassed by crocs and lions and I don't remember it happening that much in AOE. It actually has me wishing nasty critters were an option you could toggle on and off.
