Apoc then, unselfishly did whatever he could to stay alive and trib us. It absolutely kept me in the game and allowed me to iron and make assy's nasty HA and upgrade to cats and eventually Hcats while burning a bunch of Phoe remes with FG.
Right after Apoc resigned as he was out of vils/TC's our yellow Sumie ally side doored the grey Hitt who resigned too soon IMO. I was still hurtin' as Phoe AE walked towards my camp. I distracted them enough to get the priests ready as started what would eventually become the finest stable of AE's in all Assyria !! Many battles ensued w/my Hcats/HA/CA(to save gold and raid a few foolish priests) combined w/converted AE driving the Phoe from grey's area so we could take badly needed gold.
I don't recall winning a game before almost solely from the use of priests but they made all the difference in the world here. I would tease the Phoe by advancing my AE a bit and he'd fire on them or come w/more AE or EA. My priests would then convert more AE while my Hcats pummeled his EA. His CA couldn't get near my priests do to being totally outgunned by fast shooting Assy HA. The enemy Choson finally got ready to attack yellow from Apoc's old area and when I saw Phoe AE helping it was time to add to my stables. It was great team work as our towers slowed up legion hordes and yellow would attack AE w/scythes while I converted them and healed them and turned them on the legions. All in all My priests on both front healed at least 5,000 res cost of damage to AE's/Hcats/HA. While this was going on I made a bunch of boats and after a rousing battle forced my way across the shallows into Phoe territory. Two more AE now raised my total to 12ish and I added a Choson Hcav on the other front and once again healed everything. The Phoe couldn't stop me and the Choson could make no headway.
My Sumie ally couldn't understand enough english to follow my instructions to get Hcat's but thankfully he had engineering on his own and could take down Cho 12 range ball towers. As my CA had penetrated the Phoe ranks and had just seen the undefended Phoe and nearby Cho plantations of farm.. the Cho resigned with, "The I gotta eat dinner" excuse and the Phoe followed. Funny that the Phoe never bothered w/scythe and that probably cost them the game.
The only thing that allowed me to put on my priestly display was Apoc's desire to help us as he died.. great game Apoc...neilkaz...
