Notice I didn't say "mastered," since I still cannot break the "mouse select" habit. I can enter a game saying to myself over and over "Remember, don't forget to Control+KC, you idiot," or "it's Ctl+AR! Ctl+AR! You clueless fu**!" or other such reassuring, self-help guidelines, but for whatever reason, when the firing starts, the habit takes over.
Is there a "magic formula" to break yourself of the "point n' click" habit? And if there IS...
Are they really faster? I firmly believe I should be able to generate larger groups of troops in a shorter period of time, but is this really the way? After all, you can 'HCCC' with one hand, while still controlling the mouse in the other. But you would have to be quite dextrous, indeed, to manage all the unit creation combinations with one hand, especially with the speed necessary.
Granted, the Ctl+# aspect of the combination DOES take you to the selected building, so you don't have to click around for it. Wish I could manage to do this without thinking about it!
Any thoughts, hints, suggestions? Does anyone else have trouble with hotkeys?
