The definitions I'm working from:
Useless: those attribs that have little or no impact on the game - if you didn't have them, you really wouldn't care
Useful: those attribs that are an integral part of the civilization, and can often make the difference between victory and defeat
Mosty Useless Civ Attributes:
1) Carth: 30% faster transports - boy, what an advantage. Look how fast I can load up my vills and run!
2) Greek: Faster Warships - this makes a BIG difference -- when you're playing the computer and it dodges all your cat tireme boulders
3) Palmy: double load trade boats - I guess there are people who have taken advantage of this, but I don't know any - maybe in a four hour 3v3 game when your playing civs that are all gold dependent.
4) Persia; +50% tireme fire rate - this could be a really cool attrib, if you could ever chop enough wood to get more than a few tiremes -- (to the tune of If I only had a heart) "If I only had an economy!"
5) Palmy: super vills - 75 food for a +1 armor and work 20 percent faster. In a default RM, other civs hit the ground running (Shang at a sprint) but Palmy's down on the ground on a all fours crawling - Close, ES, but no cigar - Look! My vill can take 2 extra hits from a lion (or a slinger or whatever) Whoo-whooo! But they're great as feeders in a team game you say? So what, I say. In Iron, their economy is no better than most because others have the market upgrades and I'd rather have a Hitt partner figting alongside me than a pacifist Palmy collecting resources
Most Useful Civ Attributes:
1) Shang: reduced vill cost - booms away - how come it didn't matter so much in AOE? Sorry ES, but this is a little TOO good
2) Pheon: wood chopping bonus - Paul Bunyun's favorite civ
3) Hitt: double cat HPs - face it, Hitt Cats rule
4) Sumer: increased fire rate: Hitts might be king, but Sumer is the prince here
5) Assy: archer fire rate - Assy isn't the civ it used to be, but a horde of Assy CAs descending on your vills at 15 minutes into the game is still a frightening sight
Runner up for worst:
Greek: faster acedemy units - just doesn't matter in an RM game - missle units still tear them to shreds
Runner up for best:
Phoen: cat tireme fire rate - Pheon cat tiremes or Jugs is en mass are an awesome force.
