Has anybody been having problems installing the SnowMod ?
I have received a bunch of e-mails from people who have had problems.
Let me state a couple of things...
1)PLEASE read the .txt files included, they pretty much say it all.
2)If you don't know how to work with zip files **DONT E-MAIL ME !!!** Do a little reading and learn how to work with them.
3)If you dont know how to use the scenario editor **DONT E-MAIL ME !!!** there are some articles in the Siege Workshop, go read them.
Experiment with the editor and the mod pack a little to become familiar with how they work.
I did come across an oversight on my part in the install routine though..
If the directory structure is not correct for where the mod packs are located, ..\modpack\AoEsnow(RoRsnow) the install will still return a message that it installed ok even though it didn't.
If you install the pack but have no snow or snow pine trees in the game please go back and check the directory structure as stated above prior to e-mailing me about it.
I have made the necessary changes and am resubmitting the zip file for download.
It will now return an appropriate error message should this occur.
This is a minor problem which would only appear if for some reason the directories weren't created when unzipping the files or if someone changed the directory names.
I apologize if this oversight has caused anyone a problem although the chances of it occuring are slim
I don't want to sound rude but after spending most of last night answering e-mails which if the people would have read the .txt files then they would have had the solutions, not to mention one *** who didn't know what a grass clump was and demanded DETAILED instructions RIGHT AWAY!!
I've had it!!!
Of all the messages I received only one seems to be a genuine problem that I can't resolve for the person.
I have been using these mods for over a month now and have not had ONE problem with them myself. Some days I have installed and removed them a dozen times while editing a campaign I'm working on. Not one single glitch. I am more than willing to try and help if someone has a genuine problem, but from now on if it's a message like "where do I unzip the files" or "what are Gaia grass clumps" and things that are easily answered by a little reading I will just delete the messages without a reply.
Sorry but I don't have the time to answer simple questions like that.
